Issue Addressed: Proposed Supreme Court Rule change for garnishment of exempt funds electronically deposited in banks

Action Taken: Consensus that 90.04.1 (1) is acceptable as a safe harbor for social security, veterans, unemployment benefits. For 90.04.1(2), there are some concerns with respect to nuances of banks. Wade Nash to provide comments to Rules Committee.  Amend 90.04.1(1) to change statutory reference to RSMO 513.430.1(10)(a)(b)(c). See Missouri Garnishment Rule Change Proposals (PDF - 6 pages).
 

Issue Addressed: Report of legislative committee - including any progress of proposed language to be submitted to the MoBar for review in the fall

Action Taken: Legislative committee to make any changes and submit to entire Commercial Law Committee.
