Join 30 Missouri Bar Committees/Sections and the Board of Governors for the 2008
Spring Committee Meetings
There is no registration fee, and you don't have to be a member of a Bar
committee to attend.
This gathering of state bar committees will take place May 9 at the Capitol Plaza Hotel in Jefferson City. It represents the final meeting of the 2007-2008 bar year for most committees, offering their memberships the chance to assess progress and make plans for the remaining months of the current bar year.
Meetings Offer Rewarding Combination of Committee Work, Free CLE and
Social/Network Opportunities
A rewarding
combination of committee work, substantive educational programming and social
opportunities, the meetings of The Missouri Bar's many committees form the basis
of most bar activities. Through attendance and participation in committee
activities, Missouri Bar members make a meaningful contribution to the
betterment of the legal profession and the public good.
Service on a
Missouri Bar committee provides individual members of the bar with the chance to
play a significant role in bar activities - especially the development of
legislative proposals and the staging of timely educational programming. In
addition, attendance at the Spring Committee Meetings is both personally and
professionally rewarding, bringing together lawyers with common interests and
concerns.
During the
2008 Spring Committee Meetings, most Missouri Bar committees will meet in either
morning or afternoon time blocks on Friday, May 9. However, some committees may
choose to conduct meetings of a longer duration or convene at other times. See
