Missouri's Court System

Missouri Courts
Justice can not be weighed or measured.  Yet our days would be harsh and our way of life impossible without the assurance of fairness and justice in our courts. What comprises the state court system? How does it work?

Courts
All of Missouri's state courts have websites.  Because access to justice is so important, the courts must be open and available to all.

Joseph Fred Benson, judicial archivist for the Supreme Court of Missouri, has written "Behind the Bricks and Marble: History of the 1907 Supreme Court Building, A Centennial Celebration." Click here to read, view or print (PDF - 92 pages).

CaseNet
We have a public system of justice. CaseNet, Missouri's online access to public court records, is available to anyone needing to check on court cases at those courts that are already part of CaseNet.

Cost
How much does the court system cost? Each year, the Office of State Courts Administrator prepares a budget and submits it to the legislature.
