Join Missouri Bar Committees/Sections and the Board of Governors for the 2009 Fall Committee Meetings
There is no registration fee, and you don't have to be a member of a Bar
committee to attend.
This gathering of state bar committees will take place November 20 at the Capitol Plaza Hotel in Jefferson City. This gathering marks the first meeting of the 2009-2010 bar year for most committees.
Meetings Offer Rewarding Combination of Committee Work, Free CLE and
Social/Network Opportunities
A rewarding
combination of committee work, substantive educational programming and social
opportunities, the meetings of The Missouri Bar's many committees form the basis
of most bar activities. Through attendance and participation in committee
activities, Missouri Bar members make a meaningful contribution to the
betterment of the legal profession and the public good.
Service on a
Missouri Bar committee provides individual members of the bar with the chance to
play a significant role in bar activities - especially the development of
legislative proposals and the staging of timely educational programming. In
addition, attendance at the Fall Committee Meetings is both personally and
professionally rewarding, bringing together lawyers with common interests and
concerns.
During the
2009 Fall Committee Meetings, most Missouri Bar committees will meet in either
morning or afternoon time blocks on Friday, November 20. However, some committees may
choose to conduct meetings of a longer duration or convene at other times.
Lawyers attending the Fall Committee Meetings are traditionally able to take advantage of several free educational programs
- each carrying MCLE credit offered by various state bar committees.
Civil Practice and Procedure, Tort Law, and Transportation Law Committees to Present Appellate Practice Seminar

The joint meeting is expected to begin at 10:00 a.m. and finish at noon and will be open to all members of the Bar. (More)
